Being the second largest country in the world, there is rather unsurprisingly a lot to take in throughout Canada. The cosmopolitan cities all give just as good as their US counterparts, and the country celebrates the diversity that drives it forward. The wilderness is astonishing, with some truly epic vistas available for all to see, totally free of charge. The country is not the most thought of place for those seeking sun-soaked holidays, but summertime coastal regions do see nice, warm temperatures and some great water sports. Those seeking eco-holidays will be more than pleasantly surprised with the selections on offer to them, with Canada home of some of the greatest national parks in the world. The many cities of Canada all offer something special, and they all go about it in their own unique ways – Vancouver, Montreal, the capital Ottawa and it’s fantastic museums and of course, Quebec – all are more than worth seeing, and all will leave something in a visitors mind that they will never forget. The national park at Yoho, the world famous Niagara Falls, the Calgary Stampede – the amount of things to see and do is ridiculous, and that’s not even taking into account the wildlife, the sports or the exploration that can be carried out. Canada is a country that will keep a person occupied for a lifetime, and they are sure to have fun all the time they are there. Those wanting more of an adventure holiday can venture to the arctic tundra in the north and experience true Inuit life, living off the icy lands and using huskies as the main mode of transport (aside from the ever-present, though less romantic skidoos). It’s one of the friendliest, cleanest and safest countries in the world, home to millions of wonderful people, an amalgamation of many cultures with celebrated diversity and many, many areas of outstanding natural beauty. The cuisine of the nation is something special too, with as many influences as cultures one could name – and that’s before we even mention the beers! Canada is at least worth an extended stay, and those that spend time there are likely to want to stay forever. And who could blame them?
